About Jill

Jill has been a Registered Dietitian since 1990.  She completed her undergraduate work at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and subsequently moved to Boston, MA to complete her Dietetic Internship at Massachusetts General Hospital.  She immediately pursued a Pediatric focus and has worked with this population and subspecialty her entire career.  Jill worked on the Pediatric Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital and was responsible for the nutritional care of infants, children, and teens with a wide variety of medical conditions.  During her employment at MGH, Jill obtained her Master's Degree in Nutrition with a Pediatric concentration.  Jill went on to work at The Children's Hospital, Boston where she was employed as a Nutrition Support Dietitian. She worked specifically with intensive care and bone marrow transplantation and the Home TPN Program.  In the course of Jill's career, she also worked at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester, MA and consulted for Chartwell Home Therapies in Waltham, MA.  She has taught college-level classes in nutrition and has been a speaker for many organizations. Jill has published articles in nutrition research and has edited and co-authored several chapters in Nutrition in Pediatrics by Walker & Watkins, 2nd edition.

Jill and her husband have 4 children.  Through motherhood, she has gained a unique perspective and an opportunity to engage the dynamics of feeding children. Both clinical and practical experiences have enhanced Jill's natural ability to connect with parents on the day-to-day management of nutrition.  She understands the dynamics of nutrition issues, regardless of health status, and is an advocate for healthy eating and a healthy attitude towards food for all children.
